Ada Tree
Meander through cool temperate rainforest to the viewing platform at the Ada Tree, a giant Mountain Ash considered to be one of Victoria's largest trees. Around 270 years old, it towers over the surrounding rainforest standing about 76m in height with a circumference of 15m.
Near Noojee, Yarra State Forest
3.2km (1.5 hours) return
From Noojee, follow the Yarra Junction/Noojee Rd (C425) and turn at Big Creek Road (unsealed). The trail begins at the car park.
No fees, permits or bookings required
Parking, toilet and picnic facilities
Level 2 - No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10km.
The gravel road into the Ada Tree is suitable for vehicles for most of the year, but care should be taken after rain. Snowfalls can also occur in winter.
Pets and firearms not permitted. Please observe fire restrictions.
