Great Prom Walk
This circuit takes in the best of everything at Victoria’s most loved National Park. There are two options depending on your time and energy, departing and returning to Telegraph Saddle Car Park: Option 1 - Sealers, Refuge, Little Waterloo - 35.5km; Option 2: Sealers, Refuge, Little Waterloo, Lighthouse - 52.8km
Wilsons Promontory National Park
35.5-52.8km (3-4 days) return (OVERNIGHT/MULTI DAY WALK)
Take the South Gippsland Highway (A440) from Melbourne, turning south at Meeniyan (C444). Follow the signs to the National Park entrance. From there, travel 30km into the Park and turn left into the well signposted road up to Telegraph Saddle just before you reach Tidal River. During summer a bus operates between Tidal River and Telegraph Saddle.
Permit and booking required for overnight hikes - available from Park office at Tidal River
Parking available at Telegraph Saddle Car Park and toilet facilities available at all campsites
Level 4 - Bushwalking experience and a good level of fitness required. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited. Walks may be more than 20km.
Check tide times to avoid a deep water crossing of Sealers Creek at high tide. Be self-sufficient with drinking water.
Pets and firearms not permitted. Please observe fire restrictions.
