George Bass Coastal Walk
Enjoy panoramic views from a cliff top path high above the Bass Strait surf and beautiful secluded beaches as you trace part of the route of George Bass' coastal discovery voyage over 200 years ago.
San Remo - Kilcunda
7km (2 hours) one way
This walk commences at the southern end of the Punchbowl Rd, off the Phillip Island Tourist Rd or alternatively from the Bass Hwy in Kilcunda.
No fees, permits or bookings required
Parking, toilet and picnic facilities at Kilcunda and parking only at San Remo end
Level 3 - Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep sections, a rough surface and steps. Walks up to 20km.
Steep cliffs - please keep to the track. Track surface can be slippery or uneven and little shade available. Be self-sufficient with drinking water.
