Mitchell River Walking Track
The Mitchell River Walking Track offers some spectacular views from the river to gorge top in a semi-remote setting. It follows the west bank of the Mitchell River downstream from Angusvale through the gorge to the Den of Nargun.
Mitchell River National Park
18km (2 days) one way (OVERNIGHT/MULTI DAY WALK)
Mitchell River National Park is 300km from Melbourne. From the Princes Hwy (A1), take the Lindenow Rd (C602) turn off west of Bairnsdale. Turn left into Dargo Rd (C601) then right into Waller Rd at the National Park sign.
No fees, permits or bookings required
Parking, toilet and picnic facilities
Level 4 - Bushwalking experience and a good level of fitness required. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited. Walks may be more than 20km.
Pets not permitted and firearms only permitted in accordance with Hunting Regulations. Please observe fire restrictions.
