McKenzie River Rainforest Walk
The Rainforest Walk enables visitors to experience a rainforest river valley and the plant communities along the way. Swing bridges over the picturesque McKenzie River add a different dimension to the rainforest experience with magnificent views from within the canopy.
Bemm River Scenic Reserve
1km (45 mins) return
The Bemm River Scenic Reserve is 30 km west of Cann River and 45 km east of Orbost. Signposting on the Princes Hwy (A1) gives directions to the Rainforest Walk. An all-weather gravel access road leads off the highway to the walk and parking area.
No fees, permits or bookings required
Parking, toilet and picnic facilities
Level 2 - No experience required. The track is hardened gravel or compacted surface and may have a gentle hill section or sections and some steps. Walks up to 10km.
Check weather conditions before you go as the bridges and boardwalk are subject to flooding
Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a leash. Please observe fire restrictions.
